December Daily 2020 // Day 2
/Welcome to my December Daily 2020 | Story 2.
Today’s story is about celebrating the daily routine I’ve created for myself during this first week of December while I’m home conducting full remote teaching. Who knows what will happen to it next week when teachers head back to the building Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for in-person learning? …so I’m trying to relish in it now.
For DAY 2’s left side, I used digital elements from Paislee Press’s December You Are My Fave No.8 kit to create the page. I used a white star transparent divider to adhere a glitter star and red “two” stamp to mark the day.
On the backside of the transparency, I adhered a small 2x2 pocket inspired by the way Ali added journalling to her DAY 2. I also decide to use a full page selfie of me in my Comfy taken that day because it reflects me smack in the middle of my daily routine, loving every minute of it.
Another thing I wanted to note can be seen in the image below. I have included an early December selfie in my album for three years in a row now…and I literally can’t believe how much I’ve grown since December 3rd, 2018 and how looking at these pages make it inarguably visible.
I’d like to conclude this post with Ali’s Holiday Cheer card deck. ALL. THE. HEART. EYES. It’s one of my favorite products from her 2020 release. Each card in the deck has a sweet prompt for the month typed on it, and since the deck arrived on my door, I’ve flipped through it almost every day thinking about what stories I could match to some of the ideas.
The “celebrate the ordinary” card is the no-brainer for DAY 2’s story. There is so much to celebrate and be grateful for in early morning coffee & crafting, being able to participate in a live-streamed workout class, get to work from my dining table and be a few feet away from anything I might need… it’s incredible. There is so much undeniable negative that this year has brought, but you can’t help relishing in the positive.
Thanks for visiting and sharing in my excitement for this project! If you’re new to December Daily, find out all about it from Ali Edwards’ website. You can see how I’ve participated in the past HERE. Stay well & Happy December! xoxo
