Tom's Proposal in my 36 album
/I wrote the story about how WE GOT ENGAGED on the 4th of July, but here’s how I documented it in my 36 album (a.k.a the 6x8 album I’ve been memory keeping in for my 36th year of life).
I started the spread with a full-size hero shot from the night - Tom and I with the fireworks blasting in the background and the ring newly placed on my left ring finger. The “JULY 4TH” graphic and "“YES” insert came from the digital July 2018 pack by Ali Edwards.
The “This Is Everything” half circle at the bottom came from the Ali Edwards CIRCLES Quarterly Scrapbook Kit.
I told the story on an insert that matched the size of The Macy’s Firework Show tickets that we never used - it wasn’t exactly 3x8, I believe the tickets were something like 3.5 x 7.5 inches or something. I used the Fuse tool by We R Memory Keepers to create the pockets from full-size page protectors.
I included shots of the crew since they were such a wonderful part of the story. I’m so glad Tom had our sisters there. It was my favorite holiday with my favorite people…and already so special.
The “BRING ON THE BOOM “ graphic paired so well with the photo of us walking through the Long Island City crowd before the show started, trying to find a good spot to stand. I’m in LOOOOOVE with that firework stamp from this mini set. I used Paper Person’s Blueberry ink to stamp it right on the photo.
The next two insert pages are photos with added embellishments on top — these hearts are just great.
The last insert page is the Macy’s Firework tickets and a piece of the SHI matchbook. I finished the spread with a four 3x4 photo-collage of reaction shots after-the-fact.
I finished it off with a pleather circle piece from the Ali Edwards CIRCLES Quarterly Scrapbook Kit. I love reading the repeating words THIS LOVE around in the circle. It feels like THIS LOVE between Tom and I will go on for infinity, and also kind of morphs into the phrase LOVE THIS LOVE…and I do that too. xo
