WEEK IN THE LIFE // May 10-16, 2021
/This year Ali Edwards’ annual WEEK IN THE LIFE™ project ran from Monday, May 10th through Sunday, May 16th. I purchased the Paislee Press Mini Kit from the 2021 release (because I basically LOVE everything Liz Tamanaha creates) and used a good percent of it during my week.
Because I’m a teacher and WEEK IN THE LIFE took place in the middle of a busy busy May, I created a design formula for myself and stuck to it. I would used the big 4x6 day of the week card and add the day’s journal right on top of it along with a stamped strip above with the day’s date. “A spread a day” was all I needed to complete and it worked out nicely whether I only had one photo to use from the day, or several photos.
I attended Ali’s WEEK IN THE LIFE Prep Day online and her digital word art was made available in the downloads. I loved using Ali’s digital word art sprinkled throughout this project to get some of the deeper journalling in…the stuff that was more than just the “this is what happened today” writing.
Thursday’s right side page contains one of my favorite elements - a flip up circle cluster that I stapled on top of a trimmed down and tucked in page protector. The “Home Life” big felt circle was from an Ali Edwards pack, the days of the week circle was a sticker I kept from the packaging, and I’ve had that YES cork sticker in my stash for years!
I love how I made this project work for me, and just GOT. IT. DONE. I have shifted gears when it comes to memory keeping and HAVING FUN has been my driving force for doing it. One of the MOST fun things about this project was each day’s date-stamped strip!
Below you can see the aftermath of a successful WEEK IN THE LIFE. Most of the inks I used were from Paper Person. // Thanks for visiting! See ya soon! xo
