FUN FRIDAY // 08

Seven whole weeks ago, I introduced FUN FRIDAY & the gist is: I chose FUN as my one little word® this year, I’ve decided that every Friday from now until the start of 2022, I’ll share some fun things that happened the week before. Let’s go…

Our mini getaway. Tom and I escaped for a few days to Uncasville, Connecticut and visited Mohegan Sun. As my Instagram post said, we did a little gambling and a lot of resting. Tom taught me how to play Roulette, and we generated another Valentine’s Day “what I love about you” list to each other and sent item by item in texts over dinner. I love that little vday tradition. We walked Olde Mistick Village, visited Mystic Aquarium, and even though it was cold and I hated everybody but Tom, it was still a lot of fun.

Brainteasers & logic games. While in Olde Mistick Village, Tom and I stopped in an eclectic, old timey toy shop and found the game Cat Crimes. Using the clues on the cards, you have to figure out where each cat was sitting around the table and which cat committed the crime. It starts off easy, and gets harder as you go. Last summer we bought Chroma Cube which is the same idea using clues to deduce where the cubes belong on the board.

I’m smitten! She’s been my favorite documenter/designer/internet person for so long, and I even got to interview her on the podcast. This latest Patreon collection seen above - used to document this past week of February break - is butter! BUTTER!
