Does anyone here watch WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS? Is anyone as excited as me and my boyfriend, Tom, for season 2’s premiere tonight?! I don’t think so. To celebrate season 2, I hit up etsy and searched for ‘what we do in the shadows’ stickers and thankfully StickerBiotch did NOT disappoint with her batch! Oh my goodness, they’re SO GOOD! Colin Robinson! I can’t take it!
What We Do in the Shadows, based on the British feature film, documents the nightly exploits of vampire roommates Nandor, Nadja, Laszlo, and Colin Robinson as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their human familiar, Guillermo. IT IS SO FUNNY. …and the kind of funny we need now. In fact, this Vanity Fair article claims the vampire shut-ins have never been more relatable! Watch season 2’s trailer below.
I paired my What We Do In The Shadows stickers with gold foil stickers and light pinks. I got this lifelovepaper ‘stuff I don’t need’ sticker back in December and I’ve been looking for the right place for it. I love it on this spread, and the four things I listed alongside it really did happen that day.
I also wanted to use my brown mildliner in this spread, but wanted to pair it with brown ink for writing and listing. I ordered a 40-pack of Stabilo markers knowing they had a few good browns I could use, and when they arrived, it was like Christmas morning.
The crēpē paper reference comes from one of the show’s famous scenes where Nandor and Guillermo are shopping for party decorations.
We had a wedding to attend this Saturday that ended up getting rescheduled that I was going to document in my planner using the two lips and the gold box you see below. Once I knew the wedding wasn’t happening, and this was going to be my What We Do In The Shadows planner spread, I added vampire teeth to the lips. (Nice touch, me!)
One of SignedMichelle’s bible journalling sticker made its way into the gold foil box where the wedding plans were supposed to go, and I finished off the spread with an orange cone-wielding Nandor. Haa haa!

It’s weird how I’m a 35 year old grown adult woman who still likes to play with stickers and appease my excitement for things by making art about it. But is it that weird though? Yes and no, I think. It probably seems frivolous in times like this, but in fact, it might just be that essential kind of frivolity we all need right now.
