Elise Blaha Cripe started the hashtag #doingthedays after her young daughter Piper dictated a letter to her deployed father saying, “it’s okay, we are being good for Elise because it’s our job to keep on doing the days when you are gone.” HOW CUTE IS THAT?! The phrase resonates with me during this confusing time, and has has repeated in my brain the weeks since I read that post.

So yesterday, here’s how I did my day: I conducted remote learning (whatever that is) the best I could. I made egg salad. I rubbed my mom’s sore back. I burned my lungs up running in the park with Tom & his sister Julia (see below). I sautéed broccoli for dinner. I watched @lifelovepaper make a zine on YouTube.
