December Daily 2020 // Foundation Pages
/People, I’m PUMPED! We are days away from December and I am ready ready ready to get started filling in my sweet & cute green linen 3x8 December Daily album that is all my holiday documenting dreams come true this year! I wanted to PLAYYYYYY with product this time around, and use bursts of craftiness to burst me out of the twenty-twenty blues. Gosh, anyone else feel like they NEED this project this year more than ever before?!
Above is the video flip through of my foundation pages - the likes of which I had never done in the previous 9 YEARS I’ve participated in December Daily. This year is my first time getting crafty pages and actual plans in my album in advance. It’s kind of thrilling!
I started with the inside cover, some DIY puffy paint stars, and a title page:
Following the title page is the reason why I’m creating this particular album. For me, celebrating that my sweet family and I made it through this harrowing year and entering the month with the intention to SOAK THEM UP are two of the reasons why.
You’ll also hear me rave about the size of the 3x8 album in my foundation pages video because I’ve been having SO MUCH FUN going nuts on the smaller page sizes! Less surface area to fill is more the reason to cluster embellishments on a single page.
Also, I’ve heard people say “It’s just too small” but I feel you can fit any size page into the album as long as you create it in a flip-out! …and that’s what I did with that Holiday Checklist page above and my circle piece below.
Those mint COZY letters were inspired by this spread in Ali’s 2015 December Daily album. You guys, I have been feverishly binge-watching Ali’s YouTube channel like a psychopath, studying how she constructs pages and her approach to this project. IT HAS TAUGHT ME SO MUCH about what I want to get out of it.
A BONUS! If you’ve watched my Foundation Pages Flip-Through Video, then you might have seen what I plan on doing for DAY 26 this year: a GRID SCAVENGER HUNT! The day after Christmas is always spent sleeping in, vegging out on the couch, and recuperating. That’s the usual story, so I planned my grid spread to “go live” on that day.
I will be adding the bits & pieces to the grid all throughout December so that ON DAY 26, the spread would have taken care of itself. The only thing I’ll have left to do is adhere the ‘26’ and snap some photos. I’m thrilled by this. Thank you, Tina Azamus for this idea. <3 <3 <3 PS - Watch her Studio Vlog! It’s so fun!

Alright, loves, I’m glad I got this blog post up. I’m glad you’ve visited my internet space. We should do this again sometime. How about a few more times in December when I share my pages as they get done? Yeah? Sound good? Great.
No really, though, after the year we’ve had, I feel we all could use a little of the magic this project brings. Wishing you wellness! xoxo
